HÄMEENLINNA 21th April
Holy shit what a night! When I woke up in the morning I wouldn´t have believed if somebody had told me that before the night is through one of my biggest dream will come true. I took a friend of mine with me on the road because for once it was possible and I also wanted to show him what we do and this guy knows damn well how to behave. |

I have probably said this before, but it´s been a great for us to do these few shows with Popeda. I mean, in these gigs a lot of people who wouldn't otherwise came to see us, got see us play live. I´d say that this particular show in Hämeenlinna was the best of the three we did with the best band in Finland.
Earlier that day Jyrki K. Melartin and Arska Rautajoki (from Popeda) and me, had a little conversation over working ethics and lifestyles. Being a touring musician life can be very irregular and it´s a lot of waiting between shows and you get very easily bored if you don´t have anything special to do. Many people in this business choose to get wasted basicly because there´s just nothing else to do. I say that´s bullshit! For I haven´t touched alcohol for six months now and still I haven´t missed a thing and I´ve had a lot of fun.

When I was watching Popeda after our show some guy took me aside and introduced himself as a magician. We sat down and he said a few very strange things about me and I was blown away. Everything he said was true! He also adviced me to be aware these days. He told me there are a lot of people out there who have the power of harming me. We were talking about voodoo and some other weird stuff and all of a sudden he showed me a trick. He made cigarettes in his hand disappear right in a front of my eyes. I will remember this magician for the rest of my life. |

The night was almost over and Popeda was playing one of their biggest hits from the 80s and suddenly I was standing on stage holding Costello´s Firebird-guitar and playing this song I grew up listening to - and I was in heaven. That was the highlight of my musical career this far, I can tell ya. Of course, eventually we all got on stage and played a cover song coalled "Kovan Pojan Blues" (Let´s Work Together). Paavo got to play the keyboards, Alarik the drums, Aleksi was on the bass, Costello keeping it together on the guitar and Pate Mustajärvi shared the lead with me. What an unforgettable night for me, for us... FUCK YEAH!!! |

MIETAA 22th April
It was to be the last show of the SAUNA PÄÄLLE! -tour and I have to say that we´ve experienced a lot. A few sad moments but a lot of joys and in general everybody has been working professionally and we feel even more like a solid unit. We gave people what they came to see (except for a few nights I don't want to remember here) and now it´s time to take off our boots for a few days before packing our bags again and head for Los Angeles, California. We wanna thank our fans for their support on this tour and beg for your mercy: at least we tried >;o)
