MATTHAU'S TOURDIARY - SAUNA PÄÄLLE! 2006
PART 3: HELSINKI - LAPUA March 10-11, 2006

This was the day we had all been waiting since we heard that we are actually gonna share the stage with Popeda. I was anxious to do interviews with Pate Mustajärvi for Iltalehti and Ilta-Sanomat but it was good anxiety. I was being asked if I considered us being bigger stars than Popeda and I almost threw a fit because Mr. Mustajärvi was sitting right next to me.

At the backstage I was stressing out because I was sure there was not gonna be any of our fans but what did I know. By the way, I just handed Jarkko a soda.. not a regular soda but a soda that will blow his mind within half an hour -a little prank. Anyway, we played a kick-ass show and yes, there was many of our fans among die-hard Popeda fans. I think we got a few new fans that night.
Popeda was getting ready for the show and we were watching them intensively -after all my father and Paavo´s father too used to be a part of that group but then again it was 20 years ago but it was very interesting. One thing is sure -those guys really live up to their image, it´s a real deal.

For us it was a big day. Earlier that day we signed an important contract wich only enhanced our enthusiasm. Pate Mustajärvi included us many times in his speeches and and we were thrilled.

On our way back to Tampere 1/7 of us was really really sick and eventually the bus floor was covered with vomit. It was also the first time we were really struggling with the bus. We filled the tank with wrong gasoline so we were in Tampere at 8 in the morning. I went over to Miikka´s. I took a shower, jerked off and fell asleep.

A few hours later we were heading for Lapua. Masa, who was driving hadn´t slept a wink last night so fortunately Aleksi took the responsibility. For some reason I was feeling a little restless so I stripped myself totally naked in the bus and had a smoke. It´s a drag Jarkko didn´t take any pictures of the action. Qmaa was a great place. The security guys tried to scare us by telling us about people climbing on stage and fighting etc. but I told them that the first one to climb on stage is gonna get real well-known to my guitar. Nothing happened and it was a great night! That´s all folks.
