What I´m doing here is to give you a little exposition over who we are and what we do. Places and people in this documentary are real and it´s definitely going to be a trip to unknown so fasten your seatbelts.

MATTHAU'S TOURDIARY - SAUNA PÄÄLLE! 2006
AND HERE IT BEGINS

Being on the road can be a lot of fun with people going crazy and sometimes
it tops insanity, but it is also something we do: our job and we take it very
seriously, knowing we do this for our fans and fans only. We wouldn´t be
touring if nobody ever showed up nor make albums if nobody bought them. It´s
as simple as that.

Touring from town to town can also be really boring if you let it be because
it´s a lot of waiting, but this is where it gets interesting... You see, each one of us has our own ways of killing time. Paavo and Miikka are the most fun to be around. Always cracking jokes and doing something to make everybody laugh. Aleksi and I are probably the most restraint. I mean we need our own privacy whereas Masa and Alarik are never alone. Jarkko (Kerkko) is actually very professional and he doesn´t really show us how he feels until he gets drunk. Love him!

Masa is our guitar-tech. He takes care of all the guitar equipment and makes
sure everything is set before we get on stage. He also drives the bus and is
a part of our recordlabel which means he talks Bloodpit, he breaths
Bloodpit and he lives Bloodpit. He´s kind of a guy who couldn´t be replaced.
Miikka, now this guy is crazy. He´s the youngest and the only one to raise
hell now that I´m sober. He does the lights and is our drumtech who makes sure everything is correctly set for Alarik. Miikka also drives the bus - mostly unconscious.
Then there´s Jarkko whose responsibility is to create a good-sounding
concert. He´s a pro.

TAMPERE-TALO & NIVALA Feb 24-25, 2006

Two-month break behind and we were definitely ready to climb back on stage.
Last year we did 71 shows and if truth to be told it was absolutely
refreshing to take a little break. But those two months made us anxious to
get back doing what we do. The feeling was there. We had solved many things that had been bothering us before. As we were waiting behind the stage for our new intro tape to kick in you could tell the band was happy to be back.

We played an extended show including some new stuff (Heal, Jealousy and Only Our Name). After the show there was a fanmeeting at the backstage which was a bit awkward but I think it was inevitable us being as exhausted as hell. There was a minor conflict between the support act Flinch´s crew and us. They wanted to use our special lights and we said no. The reason we said no was that those lights are a part of our show and there´s no way other bands are gonna use ´em.

The following day we headed for Nivala - the place we had only bad experiences of. They didn´t let us down this time, either. There was a lot of people but the problem was that everybody had come for the disco, not the band so there was only a handful of people watching us, once again. I love Nivala - the cowtown.

To be continued...
