BLOODPIT - RECOVERED

T
he cassette is rolling again – Bloodpit has recovered

Public word has got it all wrong – Bloodpit has not called it quits. The band went through a rough period of time, but they were able to beat the misfortunes. They will now continue their career, stronger than ever. The new lineup will be announced in their first show 10th of July.

Bloodpit guitarist Paavo Pekkonen comments the band’s current position:

“I would not use a word comeback, since none of us ever said we have split up. Off The Hook tour ended last summer to a complete dead end, but after that we played a few cover gigs as a trio with Aleksi and Alarik last fall. Everything felt really good while playing live and rehearsing the covers, so we started making also new songs. We realized quite fast, that it just sounds like Bloodpit all the way.”

Bloodpit will play only one show in Finland during summer 2008. The event will take place in Tampere, Tammerfest, restaurant Dog’s Home on Thursday 10th of July. There will be a press conference held at Dog’s Home during the same day, where Bloodpit will reveal their new plans and members. The show is already sold out. There will be no tickets available at the door.

Backstage Alliance will release a brand new Bloodpit EP, “Recovered”, 1st of October 2008. Pre-sale of the forthcoming EP will also start in BSA-store 2nd of June. Bloodpit will tour already next fall - the next confirmed gig in Finland will be in Musiikki & Media, international music expo’s nightly festival Lost In Music, arranged in Tampere 23.-25.10. 2008.
